Our project trip to Mexico

Every year, we visit the regions where our raw ingredients are grown so that we can find out more about the farmers‘ living and working conditions. At the beginning of 2016, we went to Mexico, on the trail of the agave plant that gives us the syrup we use in our iced teas.

The first leg of our journey took us to the Nekutli cooperative. This group is challenging the dominant large agricultural concerns with their socially-responsible farming. Then we went on to the Ñöñho Intercultural Institute, which trains up young people from the deprived state of Querétaro to become social entrepreneurs.
